Kim Zeldin

Kim Zeldin has a long track record of winning high-profile cases and defeating high-stakes litigation. With more than 30 years of experience as a skilled litigator and legal strategist, she has represented businesses and individuals in federal and state courts and in arbitration in California and across the country. Throughout her extensive career, she has handled a wide range of litigation matters, including class actions, breach of contract claims, business torts, defamation, real estate, intellectual property, mass tort, employment, ERISA, and breach of fiduciary duty, and other complex civil litigation.

In addition to her work as a litigator, Kim previously served as the general counsel of a multiplatform, Spanish-language media company for several years. In this role, she managed and oversaw all aspects of the company’s regulatory compliance (including adherence to FCC reporting obligations), insurance coverage, intellectual property, lease and real property rights, and its human resources department.

Representative Experience

• Represented a manufacturer of recalled products in product liability and wrongful death litigation pending in coordinated state proceedings in California and Delaware.
• Represented government water and power department in defense of class action lawsuits alleging violations of city ordinances and charter.
• Obtained dismissal, on behalf of YouTuber, of $3.5 million defamation action under anti-SLAPP statute and an award of over $150,000 in attorneys’ fees.
• Defended school district in copyright infringement action.
• Obtained summary judgment and affirmance by Ninth Circuit of district court dismissal of RICO action against bank. 
• Represented company against claims by former executives for alleged miscalculation of top hat plan benefits.
• Defended geotechnical engineering company in construction defect action alleging design caused landslide and other commercial property damage.
• Represented entertainment company in defense of multiple class actions involving wage and hour violations and alleged misclassification of workers.
• Represented plaintiffs in class actions nationwide alleging violation of ERISA fiduciary duties in connection with purchase and failure to sell company stock.
